New Labor Law Posters « 11-15-2007
Many employers receive literature pertaining to the changes in the minimum wage and the updated Federal Labor Law Posters that you are required to post at your company. The literature states the necessity for having these posters posted at the worksite. Failure to post may be subject to penalties and civil law actions. While that information is correct, the need to pay for these posters is not necessary.
Below is an example of one of the providers that charge a fee for the posters. The fees can range anywhere from $50 to $100 for the complete set of posters. You do not need to pay for these services.
What you may, or may not, know is the Iowa Workforce Development has all of these posters available for you for free. There are phone numbers available at the Iowa Workforce Development website that you may contact to have your free poster delivered to you, or click this link to contact your local Workforce Development office and get the 7 in 1poster that includes all Federal and State labor rules.
