IRS notifies of e-mail refund scams « 1-24-2011
We recently received information from the IRS that there has been several reports of e-mail refund scams and surveys asking for the name and address of taxpayers.
Do not respond to e-mails like this. The IRS does not send e-mails to individual taxpayers. If you receive such an e-mail, be sure to delete from your e-mail account, or Outlook file.
This scam has been around before, but with the new tax law changes we would like to make you aware of it again.
